A New Way of Working for Government
The Treasury Te Tai Ōhanga
We collaborated closely with senior Treasury staff to transform touchstone principles into a comprehensive visual design brief. This foundational guide informed all design decisions, ensuring cohesion and purpose. Working hand in hand with cultural advisors, we integrated the essence of tikanga Māori into the design. We had the privilege of relocating the wharenui to a new home on Level 4 as the as the central element for the public meeting suite from which all other meeting spaces flow.
The workspace design is a open with vistas across the large podium floor plate. Each floor features a colour theme inspired by natural elements, creating a seamless journey from earth to sky. A continuous carved pou spans four floors, symbolizing unity and strength, designed by Fayne Robinson.
